Local guide data

Bookmarks, progress, notes, planner state and other personal guide preferences are stored in your browser unless a feature clearly says otherwise. They are not uploaded merely because you use a guide.

Voluntary submissions

When you send a guide enquiry or evidence report, we receive the fields you choose to provide, such as your name, email address and message. Submissions enter a controlled review inbox and never publish automatically.

Privacy-safe telemetry

TKB may record aggregate feature events without persistent visitor identifiers. The telemetry endpoint does not retain IP addresses and honours the Global Privacy Control signal. We use these totals to maintain the site, not to build individual behaviour profiles.

Advertising cookies and identifiers

The main TKB Gaming homepage and three reviewed MissionChief editorial pages (the guide homepage, Start Here, and Airside Trespasser response guide) can load one standalone Monetag In-Page Push banner from nap5k.com. Its first-party loader does not contact Monetag until a visitor explicitly chooses Allow passive ad. Choosing No thanks or sending Global Privacy Control keeps the tag blocked. Every other current route is marked advertising-disabled with no active format. The previous MultiTag bundle and notification worker were disabled and removed on 30 August 2026 after that bundle was found to open advertising tabs from ordinary page clicks.

When an approved page requests the Monetag tag and an advertisement, Monetag and the advertising supply chain necessarily receive network and browser information such as the visitor's IP address, user agent, requested page and referrer. They may also use cookies, web beacons or other device and online identifiers for delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and advertising under Monetag's privacy policy and cookies policy. Monetag also publishes a provider-level opt-out. Applicable consent requirements continue to apply; TKB's advertising-storage defaults remain denied until consent is available.

The standalone in-page format displays inside the website and does not request browser notification permission or create a push subscription. A temporary same-origin retirement worker may run only to unsubscribe and unregister the former notification worker in browsers that previously received it. It imports no third-party code, creates no advertising request and unregisters itself. Pop-ups, pop-unders, click-triggered redirects, interstitial or vignette takeovers and browser notification advertising remain prohibited.

Google AdSense is not serving TKB inventory. Google's consent controls remain available on this page and do not themselves place advertisements. Google controls are available through Google Ads Settings and Google’s business privacy information.

Website hosting and security logs

When a browser requests a page, our hosting and security systems necessarily process the IP address, request time, requested URL, response status, browser or user-agent information and referral information supplied by the browser. These records are used to deliver the site, diagnose failures, rate-limit abuse and protect the service. We do not use access logs to build advertising profiles or identify ordinary guide readers.

Technical logs are retained only for the period required by the active hosting, backup and security configuration, then rotated or deleted. Access is limited to the site owners and service providers who need it for operation or incident response.

Third-party services loaded by a page

Monetag. Only the main homepage can load Monetag's standalone In-Page Push tag, and only after the browser-local choice is granted. Monetag describes this as a small in-page banner rather than a browser push subscription. The provider and participating advertising services receive the request information needed to select, deliver, measure and protect the advertisement. Clicking the advertisement deliberately opens the advertiser's destination; ordinary TKB links, buttons and page areas must not.

Google. The Privacy page loads Google's certified consent runtime, without loading an ad, so a visitor can review or withdraw an advertising choice. Google AdSense is not serving advertising anywhere on TKB Gaming; its consent runtime remains available only so visitors can review or withdraw any earlier Google advertising choice. Google may receive IP address, device, browser, page and consent information under its own privacy terms.

Electronic Arts and GameTools.Network. The Battlefield hub loads official EA images from EA-controlled media hosts and requests public Battlefield statistics from GameTools.Network. Those providers receive the network and browser information required to deliver the image or API response. TKB does not send a TKB account identifier because the website does not have visitor accounts.

YouTube. A small number of DrainSim walkthrough pages offer a YouTube privacy-enhanced player. The iframe is not created until the visitor presses the load button. Once loaded, YouTube receives the information needed to deliver the video and may apply its own storage or account rules.

Discord counts. The browser asks a same-origin TKB endpoint for an aggregate Discord member count. Our server, not the visitor's browser, requests that count from Discord; the endpoint does not forward the visitor's IP address to Discord.

External links and downloads

Links to Discord, SoundCloud, GitHub, Steam, publisher websites, Tracker Network and other cited evidence do not contact those destinations merely because a visitor reads the page. If a visitor follows a link, installs a userscript, opens a source repository or chooses an external profile, the destination receives the request and applies its own privacy notice. We use noopener, noreferrer or a restrictive referrer policy where appropriate, but the destination will still receive the visitor's IP address and browser request.

Lawful bases and international transfers

We rely on legitimate interests to secure, maintain and improve the site with proportionate aggregate data; on consent for optional advertising storage, personalisation and optional third-party media; and on taking requested steps or legitimate interests to answer a message deliberately sent to us. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, its published transfer mechanism and contractual safeguards apply. Optional advertising remains denied until the required consent state exists.

Who controls the data

TKB Gaming is jointly published and equally owned by Conroy1988 and MartyBlyth. They jointly determine the limited purposes described in this notice. Privacy requests can be sent to guides@tkb-gaming.scot. TKB Gaming is Scottish-founded and serves visitors worldwide.

Retention and sharing

We keep submitted information only as long as needed to answer, verify evidence, prevent abuse or meet legal duties. We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with service providers needed to operate the site or when the law requires it.

Your rights

UK and EEA visitors may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent at any time. Contact guides@tkb-gaming.scot. We may need enough information to verify and action the request safely. UK visitors may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Passive ad choice

This browser-local choice controls whether any of those four approved pages may request Monetag's standalone in-page banner. It does not affect access to any TKB content. Disabling it prevents future advertising requests; it does not contact Monetag from this policy page.
