Deployment order: Bring a shovel and enough pumping capacity to control the barn-side water while redirecting hill inflow towards the road drains or stream.

Mission Walkthrough

Phase 1 — Read the slope

Identify the hill inflow and the four measured areas before digging.

  1. Scan the farmhouse, barn, road and low-ground sectors.
  2. Open available road drains before they are overwhelmed.
  3. Choose one discharge direction and avoid splitting hoses without a reason.

Phase 2 — Control the upper inflow

Reduce the amount of water reaching the central yard.

  1. Use shallow trenches or compact dirt placement to steer hill water away from cleared ground.
  2. Keep channels continuous; isolated holes become collection points.
  3. Recheck the road drains as diverted water reaches them.

Phase 3 — Pump the barn side

Remove the deepest persistent water and discharge towards the stream.

  1. Place the main pump behind or beside the barn where water remains deepest.
  2. Route the outlet to a stable stream-side point.
  3. Relocate only after the local water level has clearly stopped falling.

Phase 4 — Close the four regions

Sweep the farm in a fixed order and finish shallow water.

  1. Return uphill first and confirm the inflow is still controlled.
  2. Check the barn and farmhouse edges with the water scan.
  3. Vacuum or squeegee the final pockets towards the road drainage.
