Generator will not accept a cable
Section titled “Generator will not accept a cable”- Disconnect or drop the current cable.
- Pick up the generator.
- Place it again on stable ground.
- Reconnect one powered tool at a time.
This is a Steam-reported workaround, not an official fix.
Pump appears to add water
Section titled “Pump appears to add water”- Stop pumps operating in nearly dry water.
- Confirm the discharge hose is not spilling back into the measured region.
- Wait for the water surface to settle.
- Finish with the vacuum and squeegee.
Multiple players have reported shallow-water over-output. TKB has not yet reproduced the condition in build 0.3.1.12.
Hose spills around a drain
Section titled “Hose spills around a drain”There is no confirmed universal hose-to-drain snap. Aim the hose downward into the centre, but accept that some drains are difficult or unsuitable. Move to a wider drain or create a contained discharge pool rather than spending the whole shift forcing one connection.
Region bar will not finish
Section titled “Region bar will not finish”- Re-open the tablet and confirm the exact named region.
- Check corners, under counters, service corridors and terrain seams.
- Stop pumps before final vacuum work.
- Re-clear nearby drains.
- Use the squeegee on thin reflective water.
Save protection
Section titled “Save protection”The in-game warning states that autosaves occur in the Garage. Back up saves before using an unstable branch.
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\DrainSim\Saved\SaveGamesPerformance guidance boundary
Section titled “Performance guidance boundary”Official requirements list DirectX 12 and a GTX 1060 6 GB or RX 590 minimum. Community DX11 and settings advice is hardware-specific and should remain labelled as a field report.
