Use this checklist to prove quest progress without turning the guide into an unsupported list of guessed objectives. The Content Database supplies accepted quest records; the Completion Companion stores your local state.

The database now delivers a complete 168-mission main story from the prologue through the epilogue. Phases 20.1–20.7 provide 168/168 supported walkthroughs with starting points, objective routes, field tips, completion signals and recovery steps. There are zero indexed main-story missions left awaiting a full route.

Phase 20 and guide-wide coverage both stand at 168/168. Dataset v5.0.0 preserves every supported story mission and the six proven one-time named quests on stable IDs while retaining the evidence boundary for repeatables, replayability-unresolved routes, incidental loot, hidden triggers and unlisted dialogue variations.

The full Phase 21 guide estate contains 848 supported optional quest records. Six proven one-time named quests are completion-safe; 40 source-labelled daily routes are repeatable; 802 records retain an explicit replayability unknown. Repeatables and unresolved records remain fully searchable and guided without becoming false one-time checklist milestones.

For each supported quest record, preserve:

  • visible quest title;
  • chapter or region;
  • prerequisite state;
  • current objective text;
  • character in use;
  • last confirmed completion trigger;
  • reward only when directly observed or officially stated;
  • patch and platform;
  • whether the result survives save and reload.
  • Keep a manual save before a chapter transition.
  • Finish the active objective before travelling to an unrelated region.
  • Record the exact final objective text before checking the quest complete.
  • Revisit unlocked settlement services after major progression.
  • Confirm that the journal and world state agree after save and reload.
  • Mark any inaccessible follow-up as blocked rather than missing.

Work one settlement or region at a time:

  1. collect visible requests;
  2. group them by nearby route;
  3. complete service or threat-clearing requests first;
  4. revisit merchants and map markers whose state may change;
  5. check the journal after hand-in;
  6. record the visible reward before spending or moving it.

Patch 1.16.00 officially changed or repaired several quest and challenge paths. In particular:

  • Where Misery Gathers in Chapter 2 now progresses only after Shadow Cast Over the River;
  • Assassinate Count Byron received a progression fix;
  • Back Alley Cleanup received a completion fix when all outlaws had already been turned in;
  • certain missions that incorrectly reported an NPC was on another mission received a fix;
  • numerous Abyss, gate, switch and objective-location faults were corrected.

Treat these as patch history, not proof that every save is repaired. If the exact fault still occurs on the current verified version, capture a fresh reproduction.

  1. Save to a new slot.
  2. Confirm the current verified patch is installed.
  3. Read the current objective exactly.
  4. Return to the last required location or character.
  5. Remove unrelated map filters and verify the intended region.
  6. Reload the new manual save once.
  7. Check Current Known Issues.
  8. Report the quest title, objective, location, character, platform and reproduction steps.

Do not delete save data or repeatedly overwrite the only affected slot.

A quest may be checked complete when at least one supported completion signal is visible:

  • the quest leaves the active journal and enters a completed state;
  • the promised world-state change occurs;
  • the next explicitly dependent quest becomes available;
  • the associated canonical challenge or knowledge record unlocks.

A cutscene ending, an NPC disappearing or a reward appearing is not automatically sufficient unless that signal is the accepted trigger for the specific record.

  • All 168 main-route walkthroughs are reconciled against the journal.
  • Every main-story mission has supported objective evidence and an explicit completion signal.
  • Regional requests have been checked by region.
  • No blocked quest is hidden inside the complete count.
  • Patch-fixed objectives were retested on the current version.
  • Unknown rewards and prerequisites remain unknown.
  • The Completion Companion backup is current.
