Wagon Workshops & Trade Routes
A save-safe wagon preparation, cargo, route and delivery procedure for the Patch 1.16 economy.
Patch 1.16 added seven regional wagon workshops and made wagon transport a larger part of trading. Exact workshop locations remain controlled until individually verified.
Workshop record
Section titled “Workshop record”A verified workshop needs:
- settlement and region;
- map marker and entrance;
- wagon services;
- cargo interface;
- available route information;
- prerequisite;
- patch and evidence.
Do not turn the official count of seven into seven guessed map points.
As of the 3 August 2026 evidence audit, Pearl Abyss has published the seven regions and workshop function, but not seven precise markers, entrances or unlock chains. A workshop closes Research only when its current map marker, approach, services and prerequisite are reproduced on Patch 1.16.01 or supplied by a later official notice.
Pre-departure checklist
Section titled “Pre-departure checklist”- Create a manual save.
- Confirm the wagon and cargo interface.
- Record goods, quantities and purchase value.
- Check the Trade map layer.
- Choose a destination actually shown by the game.
- Confirm terrain and bridge clearance.
- Keep a recovery Nexus or settlement on the route.
- Preserve empty storage capacity.
Route test
Section titled “Route test”- Load a small cargo.
- Record origin and intended destination.
- travel the route without substituting another wagon;
- note obstructions and safe stopping points;
- deliver to the intended post;
- verify the wagon and proceeds;
- confirm camp storage still opens normally;
- save only after the delivery is stable.
Patch 1.16 fixed wagons disappearing after delivery to a royal trading post and improved terrain in some regions, but a route still needs current testing.
Patch 1.16.01 resolution
Section titled “Patch 1.16.01 resolution”Patch 1.16.01 fixes the fault that could make Private Storage, the Feed Bin or the Gatherables Chest appear as Wagon Cargo after loading goods at a regional wagon workshop. The former restart workaround is retired.
The route procedure remains current: confirm the wagon and cargo interface before departure, then verify that normal camp storage opens after delivery. If the wrong interface still appears on the current verified version, preserve the save, record the platform and workshop, and report it as a possible regression.
Route quality
Section titled “Route quality”A recommended route records:
- verified endpoints;
- wagon type if relevant;
- road hazards;
- restricted passages;
- measured travel time as a player test, not a universal value;
- current patch;
- recovery options.
